Caroline Deighton

Caroline is a professional artist known for her colourful, contemporary landscapes inspired by the British countryside. Having grown up in rural Cheshire and living more recently in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, she feels very fortunate to have enjoyed such a lovely part of Britain.
Though she trained at art college, her early passion was horses. She became a professional rider and instructor, competing successfully in Horse Trials and Dressage with her talented horse, Storm. After 18 years and Storm’s passing, she chose a new path. She joined Staffs Police as a Special Constable, intending to become a regular officer. However, when an art publisher discovered her work, her focus shifted back to painting, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Caroline is a keen hiker along with her dog, Fletcher, who also appears in many of her paintings, and she is happiest when at the top of a mountain in the Lake District and Scotland. In her paintings, she captures the beauty she sees and feels while out walking on beautiful, warm, sunset evenings while meeting the characters along the way. The fun side of her work comes from her having a positive outlook on life, always seeing the bright side of any situation.
