After studying in Bournemouth David returned home to Warwickshire and immersed himself in oil painting, a medium that he truly loves, taking advantage of its slow drying properties. David works, and reworks, a painting until he is satisfied with how it looks. Oil allows him the creative freedom to 'play' with the paint, a liberty of creativity that he flourishes in. He likens painting to reading a story, each line/brushstroke revealing more and more.

The way he applies paint is also open to creative freedom. David is happy to experiment, and even creates his own painting tools to give him exactly what he needs. Always hungry for more, David continues to grow and develop his talents, despite his artwork being already known and appreciated for its artistic skill and aesthetic.
