When I was younger I thought magpies were black and white. That was until I saw one up close. Where I live in Norway I see endless amounts of magpies outside my window... the "black" I saw as a child now seemed to shine with greens, pinks and purples, all contrasted with dark grey/brown lowlights and patches of white feathers. That's a "me" colour scheme if ever I heard one, I couldn't resist but paint them.
