The first specific commission request I had was for Bees. Since I really like the idea of working with what I've been given, I've kept it as a theme, one which I've revisited several times already... not only do I think that bees themselves are a positive thing to be putting into people's minds (the importance of them in our ecosystem, etc) but it's also a good way of seeing how my style is developing and an opportunity to try something new with an old idea.
