Original acrylic on canvas, in black floating frame.
"For me, one if the hardest things about painting is organising the rest of my life in such a way that I can turn up in front of the canvas in the best possible state to produce the best work I can. It's difficult. It requires a lot of discipline to constantly carry out certain routines and avoid certain behaviours, and I often fail. I'm only human after all. This painting is an acknowledgement of those times when it feels like you're clawing your way round a never-ending circle of old behaviour patterns and bad habits, struggling to break free and get where you want to go."
