Banksy's 'Spy Booth' was a mural painted on the side of a house in Cheltenham, England, in 2014. It depicted three trench-coated spies, reminiscent of government agents, eavesdropping on a phone booth. The artwork was seen as a critique of government surveillance, particularly in light of the nearby GCHQ, the UK’s intelligence agency. It quickly gained popularity but was later vandalized and removed. The piece resonated with themes of privacy invasion and state control, typical of Banksy's provocative and politically charged street art.
