Montpellier Reflections (print)

Limited edition (of 100), mounted giclée print of Tracey's mixed media original.

"In my new series of Cheltenham paintings, I have combined layers of collage with acrylic paint and ink. I start with random pieces of news print and sewing patterns then splash and spray with acrylic inks to give an underpainting of exciting marks and vibrant colour. I create the composition using the edges of pieces of card dipped in ink, before adding in the sky and foreground with sponges and semi opaque paint. I then continue to build up the work with more collage from magazines and dabs and dashes of paint. I finally add a few finishing touches with a dip pen and ink. I find it is always a matter of giving enough information to describe the location whilst keeping the work loose and free with a sense of movement and harmony."
