Joanna Martins is a Devon-born sculptor whose early career as a geologist took her from Canada to the African Congo—travels that deeply inform her creative expression. Settling back in Devon, she channels her artistic impulse into sculptural work, with a special focus on the sacred brown hare. Her sculptures, modeled in clay or wax, are cast using cold-cast bronze at Oriel Bronze Studio, resulting in beautifully tactile pieces that evoke both natural grace and timeless artistry.
