Steve Langford was born in Worcester and started work in Worcester. Immediately after leaving school, Steve's career started at the Royal Worcester Porcelain Company where he worked as an artist, not having had any formal training at an art's college. This start led him to many aspects of the ceramics trade including ornamental and useful casting. After many years he left to join Country artists as a sculptor. While there, he made all manner of things but mainly wildlife sculptures and became known for his miniature work all over the world including America.

Some of his commissions have come from Royal Doulton, The Sultan of Oman and the U.S. Navy.

Having now set up on his own making resin bronze sculptures which are sold in Galleries around the country, including Park Gallery
