This was painted at Scarborough Beach after the lockdown restrictions had been lifted. Louise painted this whilst visiting an exhibition, that she was lucky enough to be included in, at Scarborough Art Gallery, The New Light Exhibition. It was painted during happier times. She wanted to capture the intensity of her play and imagination whilst playing in the sand. Enjoying her freedom from the confinements Covid had placed upon her.

This painting won the Chaoshan Watercolour Award for the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in London at the Mall Galleries.
