Janet Rogers
Janet Rogers studied textile design at Reigate College of Art subsequently working for Heal Fabrics in London and then six years as Art Editor at an Oxford publishers.
Janet’s work is abstract, using mixed media and richly overlaid with silver or gold leaf in the final stage. The almost sculptural effect of her work is created using a highly specialised technique influenced by 19th century artist Samuel Palmer. The complex layering of glass beads, acrylic, gum Arabic and varnish on Japanese silk paper takes about a month to complete.
Janet has exhibited at the Royal Academy, throughout the UK and in France and exclusively at Park Gallery in Gloucestershire.
